Free advice session on how to avoid becoming a cyber victim

When - Wednesday 30th October – 7:00 till 8:00pm

Where - Broughton Village Hall, Dr Parr room.

From - Hampshire and IoW Constabulary (part of South East Police Cyber Crime Team)

We use our computers, laptops, tablets and phones every day for work, to keep in contact and to conduct our day to day business. Unfortunately, criminals all too often exploit us, or operate ‘cleverly’ to hack and steal our online information.

This type of crime is called Cyber and Cyber-related crime, but may be better described as scamming.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary have prepared a session which covers a number of different aspects of scamming, both online and offline. This includes protecting and securing our devices, and talking through some of the methods the criminals can use to target us all.

This awareness session aims to help keep us and our online information safer and to recognise when we could be being conned by cyber criminals.

Look forward to seeing you on the day.

Kind regards

James Hodgson
